Right from the opening, the grungy slow climbing guitar with such perfect cymbal work creates such a melancholy and angry vibe. "im sorry" into the falling drums which transitions into the first toned strum, the pausing between the lyrics "cause i love, all of you". JUST TOO GOOD. 40 seconds haven't even passed and the full tone for the song has been set. not to mention the crowd totally adding to the atmosphere
I think there is some real truth to the lyrics here. I'm not talking about general lying tendancies, I mean people lying their way into a relationship and then twisting vulnrablity into a sustained environment of manipulation to exude power over the other, then the cycle repeats. ts.
when Rollins peforms this live, he does facial expressions and mouths words after telling a lie. what a terrific peformance!
